Kannur: A pregnant woman and her husband died in a sudden car fire in Kerala state.
Kannur City Police Commissioner Ajith Kumar said: Brijith (35) and his wife Reesha (26) are from Guttiathur area of Kannur district. Risha was three months pregnant.
Brijit along with his relatives took Reesha to the hospital after she went into labour. When the car caught fire, the front door could not be opened. Neighbors ran and tried to save him. By then the fire had spread throughout the car and both of them had died. Fortunately, four people, including a child sitting in the back, survived. Further investigation into the incident is underway. Commissioner said.
