Today, Friday, before the Arab Summit in Jeddah, the head of the Yemeni Leadership Council, Rashad Al-Alimi, expressed his hope that the understandings between Saudi Arabia and Iran would reflect positively on Yemen.
Al-Alimi said that the Houthis are preventing ships from reaching Yemeni ports, pointing out that the Yemeni government continues to implement the truce unilaterally in the interest of the Yemenis.
President Al-Alimi expressed his confidence that the Jeddah Summit will represent an important turning point in overcoming crises and challenges, noting that the Yemeni people are still suffering from the scourge of war.
Al-Alimi also thanked Saudi Arabia for its role in deterring threats to the Arab nation, stressing the necessity of ending the coup against the Yemeni state institutions.
And in Jeddah, on Friday afternoon, the regular Arab summit in its thirty-second session kicked off, amid an atmosphere of optimism, consensuality, and reliance on its results to be positively reflected on most of the hot issues.
