New Delhi: The Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) from 2004 to 2014 was marred by numerous scandals. The government turned every opportunity into a problem, Prime Minister Narendra Modi quipped.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi yesterday spoke in the Lok Sabha in response to the motion of thanks to the President’s speech. He said:
Every member of the Lok Sabha participated in the debate and presented their arguments. The speech of opposition MPs shows their quality. Everyone addressed the Parliament according to their character. Some people’s speech exposed them in public. Listening closely to what some people spoke revealed that they lacked ability and understanding. Some people slept soundly because of the joy of hearing what was said yesterday. They could not get up in time and reach it.
Not a single person who spoke in the House mentioned the President’s speech. People understand the reason behind this. But 140 crore people accepted the President’s speech. Some ignored the President’s speech. A great leader insulted the President. This shows an anti-downtrodden mentality. President Drabupati Murmu has given pride to the tribal community through his parliamentary speech.
After many years of independence, the pride of the tribal community and their self-confidence have increased today due to the President. This country and people thank him for this.
The United Progressive Alliance government that came to power in 2004 turned every opportunity into an issue. Most of the scandals took place during the Congress-led UPA regime from 2004 to 2014. Those 10 years were a decade of corruption. Due to the corruption in the Commonwealth Games, our country’s players could not make a record. It was during this period that the country’s economy declined drastically.
This decade is the decade for India. Some in the crisis are saddened by India’s growth trajectory. We have not come to make any reforms for the sake of compulsion. Debate is important in a democracy.
Some blame the RBI’s actions without considering economic growth. Government institutions were shamed for taking action against corruption. The security forces were maligned for their bravery.
Some also defamed the courts when the court judgments were not favorable. When they lost the election, they defamed the Election Commission and the Electronic Voting Machine.
The Enforcement Directorate is the unifying body of the opposition parties. The opposition parties should thank the organization for this. Even the voters could not unite the opposition parties. That work was done by the Enforcement Directorate. Harvard University will study future congressional downfalls. Some complain that the country is undermining other countries at a time when it is growing. Those who are not happy with the growth should introspect.
Some think that they can survive in politics only by criticizing Modi. The opposition has been criticizing me for 22 years. I don’t care about that. I have dedicated my whole life for the country and for the better future of the country. People’s support was the shield that protected me from criticism. People’s faith in Modi is beyond the understanding of opposition parties.
In the last 10 years, we have strengthened our country’s security manifold. Enemy countries fear to approach our country. India has emerged as the 5th largest economy in the world. Our country is progressing beyond all the problems like corona Pandemic. During the Corona period, our country made a record by sending vaccines to foreign countries. The world is amazed to see India becoming a manufacturing hub.
From Kashmir to Kanyakumari there is no terrorism. The economy of the country has also achieved good growth. The price has come down. Lakhs of crores of rupees are exchanged digitally. International countries are looking at Digital India with wonder. Some people are saddened by India’s pride.
Prime Minister Modi spoke thus.
