Tonight, the 13th international literary festival “Polip” opened with a reading of works by various authors in the ODA theater, organized by the Multimedia Center from Pristina and Beton from Belgrade, reports Anadolia.
The festival was opened by Jeton Neziraj, director of the Multimedia Center, Saša Ilić, founder of Beton, and Alida Bremer, writer from Croatia.
During the first evening, among others, Ledia Dushi from Albania, Tanja Šljivar from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Vladimir Arsenijević from Serbia, Miloš Živanović from Serbia, Faruk Šehić from Bosnia and Herzegovina read their works…
During this year’s edition of the festival, which is held with the theme “To the lighthouse”, there will be readings by around 30 guest authors from Albania, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, North Macedonia, Germany, Austria, Turkey and beyond, as well as panel discussions. , book promotions and musical evenings.
As the organizers announced, the “Polip” festival will be held for the last time in this format, and therefore the participants will reflect on the impact the festival had on the public.
Some of the most prominent events of this edition are the promotion of the documentary monograph of the previous 12 editions of the festival in 13 turbulent years with the author Nataša Tripney, the performance of the “Wrong Language Tour” with various authors from the region of Switzerland, as well as the promotion of the book “Jazra Grozni Khaleed” by Jazra Khaleed, translated in the Albanian language.
There will also be a promotion of the book “Walking through Srebrenica” by Faruk Šehić, which was translated into Albanian by Fadil Bajraj.
Participants of the festival, which lasts from the 12th to On May 14, in addition to writers, there are also numerous translators of literary works.
