The Royal Moroccan Football Federation decided to allocate the proceeds from the Moroccan national team’s friendly match against Burkina Faso, which will take place this Tuesday evening, to benefit the victims of the Al Haouz earthquake.
The university announced that, as part of the solidarity campaign with the victims of the earthquake that struck some regions of the Kingdom of Morocco, it allocated the proceeds of the friendly match that will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, between the national team and its counterpart, the Burkina Faso team – the majority of which were from the Moroccan community residing abroad – to the fund. Regarding receiving voluntary solidarity contributions to manage the effects of the earthquake.
This assistance aims to express the solidarity shown by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation to the victims of the earthquake, which has so far left, in a recent toll, more than 2,800 victims, while rescue teams are still uncovering other victims who have not yet reached the hands of rescuers.
According to circulating data, some of the national team players were quick to donate their own money to the fund or in other ways they prefer to donate to the earthquake victims, through direct donations through family members of members of the Moroccan national team or through other legal mechanisms.
