Qatar expects a public apology from India on the incident and India should be prepared to strongly condemn the incident. Qatar has said that those who do not understand the role of Islam in the development of civilizations, including in India, make bad references to the Prophet.
The ambassador was summoned to Kuwait

The Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry also summoned the Indian ambassador to protest against the BJP leaders’ blasphemous remarks. The Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs handed over a note of protest to the Ambassador condemning the vile statements of the party leaders. The letter said they expected a public outcry from those involved in the incident. The Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry said the remarks were made without knowing the message of peace and tolerance that Islam promotes. The Ministry emphasized that Islam has played a vital role in building civilization in all countries of the world, including India. Meanwhile, the Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry welcomed the suspension of leaders who made bad statements against the Prophet. The ambassador said the statement of the BJP leaders was not in line with the views of the Indian government.
Saudi Arabia and OIC condemn the statement

Saudi Arabia has also come out in protest against the blasphemy perpetrated by BJP leaders. The Saudi Foreign Ministry said in a statement that it condemned the defamatory remarks made against the Prophet. Authorities say Saudi Arabia does not condone such defamatory statements against any religion. Meanwhile, the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement welcomed the stance of party officials who took action against party spokespersons who made statements against the Prophet. The OIC said in a statement that the ongoing atrocities against Muslims in India were a continuation and that action should be taken against those responsible. The OIC Secretariat said in a statement that the Government of India should come forward to ensure the security and welfare of the Muslim community in India and to protect their religious and cultural rights, identity and places of worship. The Arab League, a coalition of 22 Arab countries, has also come out with strong criticism of the BJP leaders’ statement.
Protest on social media as well

The media reported that hashtags related to this have become a trend on social media in the Arab world as well. The hashtag ‘Illa Rasoolullah Ya Modi’ has been widely used in the Gulf, Arab countries such as Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Qatar and Kuwait. Meanwhile, the Grand Mufti of Oman came out with a statement against the reference to the Prophet and his wife. Sheikh al-Khalili, the Grand Mufti of Oman and a leading scholar, tweeted that the statement was a declaration of war against every Muslim in the world. The Mufti has a Twitter account with millions of followers in the Arab world. As part of the protest, hashtags calling for a boycott of Indian products were widely circulated in the Arab world. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP have come under fire on Twitter.
