Chandigarh: Elections to the Gujarat Legislative Assembly will be held in 2 phases. Voting is going on today and on the 5th. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has come to Gujarat to support and campaign for Aam Aadmi Party candidates in this election.
In this case, hundreds of farmers protested in front of the Chief Minister’s house in Sangrur, Punjab yesterday. The protest was held to emphasize the demands including raising the minimum wage in the 100-day work plan. Then there was a clash between the farmers and the police. The police then dispersed the farmers with batons. The scenes related to this went viral on social media. However, the Aam Aadmi Party has accused the BJP of instigating this protest.
