PS-2 Trailer: Ponniin Selvan 2 Trailer.. The Real Story Has Just Begun!

‘Ponniyin Selvan’ is a film produced by legendary director Mani Ratnam based on the historical novel ‘Ponniyin Selvan’. The first part of the film was released last year with a huge cast including Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Aishwarya Rai and Trisha. Being a Tamil based story, this movie which became a hit in Kollywood did not impress the audience of other languages. But the introduction of the characters took too much time which became a minus for the first part. In this background, the news was heard that the entire original story will be in the second part. Recently PS-2 trailer was released by Kamal Haasan. As expected, it succeeded in creating interest with many twists between the characters.

The trailer starts with a fight in the ocean. Thinking that the successor ‘Arulmoli Varman (Jayam Ravi)’ is dead, they plan to split the kingdom into two. On hearing the news that the Chola king ‘Arulmoli Varman’ is dead, the Pandyas plan to kill ‘Aditya Karikaludu (Vikram)’ as well. The PS-2 trailer follows the unexpected twists that follow. Along with stunning visuals, AR Rahman’s music hooked the audience. Aishwarya Rai’s performance in the role of Nandini, who yearns to avenge her father’s death, attracted attention.

The entire cast and crew of the movie including Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Karthi, Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Sobhita Dhulipala attended the trailer launch event in Chennai. Meanwhile, Aishwarya Rai’s new look poster for this film was released on Tuesday. Aishwarya shared this poster.. ‘Fire in their eyes. Love in hearts. Blood on knives. The Cholas return to fight for the throne,’ added the caption.

And the first part (PS-1) which was released last year worldwide was Rs. It collected more than 500 crores. Especially in Tamil Nadu Rs. It collected more than 183 crores and became the highest grosser of all time. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan re-entered Kollywood after almost ten years through this film. It stars Aishwarya Nandini in a dual role as her mute mother Mandakini Devi.
