Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the government to ensure the functioning of the unified digital platform Gostech. The corresponding decree was published on Saturday, April 1, on the official Internet portal of legal information.
The creation, development and operation of state information systems using the Gostech platform will be carried out in relation to federal information systems from April 1 this year, and regional ones – from January 1, 2024. The government within 10 months must ensure the introduction of changes in the legislation necessary for the development of the platform.
At the same time, information systems containing information constituting a state secret, an official secret in the field of defense, as well as the secret of an investigation and legal proceedings, should not be created and developed using Gostech.
The functions of the platform operator are performed by the Ministry of Digital Development.
Earlier, on March 27, Putin instructed to prepare a draft decree by May 1, providing for the cases of presenting a digital ID instead of a passport. Also, until May 1, the president instructed to simplify the use of Fan ID by Russians, primarily for children, pensioners and the disabled.
