“This hateful and provocative call is proof of the aggressive policy adopted by the Israeli government in the Occupied Palestinian Territories. The Israeli occupying authorities are solely responsible for the incidents of violence resulting from this systematic policy against the Palestinian people and their Islamic and Christian lands and sanctuaries,’- the ministry charged. The ministry emphasized the need for the international community to urgently intervene to protect the Palestinian civilian population, including by preventing violations and expanding and activating existing protection mechanisms.

The Saudi Foreign Ministry stated that it “totally rejects such racist and irresponsible statements that reflect the massive violence and terrorism used by the Israeli occupation establishment against our Palestinian brothers.”
UN human rights chief Volker Türk condemned Smotrich’s comments about Huara as ‘an ambiguous statement that incites violence and hostility’.
A senior Israeli minister has called for the eradication of the Palestinian town of Huwara, days after far-right settlers torched dozens of Palestinian homes and vehicles and unleashed violence in occupied West Bank villages, following the killing of two Israeli brothers. ‘I think Huara village should be wiped out. I think the State of Israel should do that,’- said Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, who handles civil administration in the occupied West Bank. The finance minister’s statement came after Zvika Fogel, a member of parliament for the far-right Jewish Power Party, welcomed the Israeli crackdown on Huara, home to about 7,000 people.
