Doha: Indian tennis star Sania Mirza has been ruled out of the Qatar Total Open after a gap of one year. In the women’s doubles at the Qatar Open, Sania and Andreja Klepak lost in the semifinals to American Nicole Melicher and Dutchman Demi Schurz.
The match lasted for an hour and 28 minutes and ended in a 5-7, 6-2, 5-10 loss. For Sania, who is on the court for the first time since the Kovid plague, the fight with her 11th and 12th ranked opponents has been fierce.
