The former coach of Egypt’s national team, Carlos Queiroz, rejected the Egyptian Football Association’s decision to deduct a $25,000 fine from the African Union, which was signed on the coach.
And the Egyptian “Boulat” website published a statement by the former coach of the Egyptian national team, in which he attacked the Egyptian Federation strongly, and singled out Walid Al-Attar, the CEO, directing him to talk, saying: “Mr. Walid, I do not think that you are the same man who invited me to dinner with him, shame on you, how do you have the courage to offend? Me with this unilateral decision after our last meeting?, You act double, you have two faces, one in front of us and one that appeared after we left, you know, and the president and the council know as well, that I have nothing to do with this punishment, we have witnesses.”
The Confederation of African Football had imposed a financial penalty against Queiroz, “25 thousand dollars” for his failure to attend the press conference before the match between Egypt and Morocco in the African Nations Cup. With a 4-2 score, he also failed to qualify for the World Cup in favor of the Lions as well.
And the coach continued: “Major General Helmy Mashhour (member of the Football Association Council), and Mr. Osama, everyone in the Egyptian national team testifies that the press conference we missed because of the Confederation of African Football’s mistake, enough, and the mistake of security, police and organization. Shame on you, Mr. Walid, and I do not I deserve this treatment from the Egyptian Football Association.”
At the end of his statement, he confirmed that he would fight against this decision, addressing his speech to the CEO, saying: “I promise you that I will fight against that exploitation and the unfair decision, in dealing with the Football Association, there is no credibility and there are unethical matters, really a shameful thing.”
