An environmental and economic disaster that is ruining countless lives. He (Rahul Gandhi) wrote – The poorest among us suffer the most, who are unable to escape the poisonous air around them. Families are yearning for clean air, children are falling ill and millions of lives are being lost. Tourism is declining and our global reputation is declining.
Rahul Gandhi said- Parliament meeting is going to be held in a few days. There the MPs will be reminded of our burning eyes and throat problems due to air pollution. It is our responsibility to come together and discuss how India can end this crisis forever.
In the video, the Congress leader asks Jha about the reasons for the air pollution crisis, to which he replies that it is a pan-India problem and it has two sources in NCR – episodic source and perennial source. Jha stressed that stubble burning is an issue but only for three weeks and farmers need to be given incentives.
