New Delhi: Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Lalu Prasad Yadav’s house is in Delhi. Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi visited that house recently. Then Lalu Prasad taught Rahul Gandhi the recipe of Bihar’s famous Champran Mutton. The Congress released a 7-minute video in this regard the day before yesterday.
The video features Rahul cooking mutton on Lalu’s advice and the two having a political conversation. When Rahul asked what is the difference between mutton and politics, Lalu jokingly replied that the combination of both is important.
Asking Rahul when did he learn to cook, Lalu shares his blossoming memories. He says, “When I was a boy, my elder brothers worked in Patna. When I come to Patna to meet them, I cook for the brothers. That’s when I learned to cook.”
Rahul Gandhi says, “When I studied in Europe, I used to cook very simple dishes. I don’t know much about cooking,” he said.
Rahul Gandhi questioned why the BJP has been spreading hatred for the past 20 years. In response, Lalu said, “BJP’s political hunger is the reason for this.”
After cooking the mutton, Lalu’s family served the food to everyone. Rahul Gandhi also bought mutton for his younger sister Priyanka, who sat and ate with Lalu’s family. At the end of the video, Priyanka also appreciates the Champran Mutton by tasting it.
