Amritsar. Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi reached Darbar Sahib in Amritsar late on Monday night to pay obeisance. He returned from Amritsar before sunrise in the morning. Let us tell you that voting for by-elections in four assembly constituencies of Punjab is to be held on November 20. Earlier, Rahul Gandhi’s visit was considered important for the Congressmen.
However, he did not meet anyone during this period. Rahul Gandhi reached Amritsar from Ranchi late night. Many leaders including MP Gurjit Singh Aujla, former Deputy CM Om Prakash Soni welcomed him. After this he reached Darbar Sahib with these leaders. After paying obeisance here, Rahul Gandhi did the service of providing water and cleaning utensils. The couple also went home for some time. At Joda Ghar he took care of the shoes of the devotees. After this, Rahul Gandhi also participated in another program.
A woman also created a ruckus over her being given VIP darshan at Darbar Sahib. He told the media that he was angry over the special treatment given to Rahul Gandhi. He said that one should come to the Guru’s house like a common man and bow his head. During this, people were seen pacifying him. The woman angrily asked whether Rahul Gandhi is greater than Guru Nanak Dev Ji? If security had to come, they could have come with only four people. The video of this entire matter has gone viral.
The woman alleged that the people in the queue were kept aside and Rahul was taken forward and shown to them. There is no tradition of darshan like this in the Golden Temple. Earlier, Rahul Gandhi had come to the Golden Temple on October 2 last year. He stayed for three days.
