Srinagar: Last year on September 7, Rahul Gandhi started the India Unity Foot Yatra in Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu. He has done the Pada Yatra in various states and is currently camping in Jammu and Kashmir as the final stage.
He started the pada yatra at Srinagar’s Bandha Chowk at 10 am yesterday. Rahul Gandhi unfurled the national flag at Srinagar’s Lal Chowk at 12 noon. Rahul’s pilgrimage was to end today in Srinagar. He had planned to unfurl the national flag at Lal Chowk on the final day. But due to security reasons he was given permission a day early. Following this yesterday, he hoisted the national flag. Congress sources also said that his pilgrimage has been completed since yesterday.
