Jammu and Kashmir. Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi is on a visit to Jammu Kashmir on Wednesday for the assembly elections. Rahul Gandhi has started his party’s election campaign in Jammu Kashmir. Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi also addressed a public meeting in Ramban.
While addressing the public meeting, Rahul Gandhi said that his party will get the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir back its statehood with the help of India Alliance allies. While addressing the rally, Rahul Gandhi also targeted the BJP. Targeting the BJP, Rahul Gandhi said that our first step will be to give back the statehood to Jammu and Kashmir.
Further Rahul Gandhi said that we wanted you to get statehood before the elections and the elections should be held after Jammu and Kashmir becomes a state. BJP does not want this. They wanted elections to be held first and then talk about statehood. Whether BJP wants it or not, Bharat Gathbandhan will put pressure on them and the people of Jammu and Kashmir will get statehood.
Rahul Gandhi addressed an election rally in Banihal assembly constituency of Ramban district on Wednesday. Former state Congress Committee president Vikar Rasool Wani is contesting from here. The first phase of assembly elections will be held here on September 18. National Conference chief and former CM Farooq Abdullah was also present in Rahul Gandhi’s Ramban rally. Abdullah expressed happiness over Rahul Gandhi’s rally. He looked overjoyed.
