People belonging to the Dalit community in Bhulon village performed special worship to Goddess Durga on the fifth day of this month. Enraged by this, some members of the upper social class attacked the youth who performed the puja. They were severely beaten. Dalits complained to the higher authorities about this incident. They requested that the accused be arrested immediately. They met the police on this.. met the officers of the President’s office.. and gave petitions to all. Even after 15 days of complaint, there is no result. They got angry.
Out of that anger Dalit families gathered together and decided to leave Hinduism. Decided to embrace Buddhism. As planned, a rally was held… and then the idols and pictures of the deities worshiped in their homes were left in the river. They revealed that the attacks on them are increasing, but the government and officials are not paying attention and that is why they converted. Moreover, Balmukand Bairwa, president of Zilla Bairwa Mahasabha Yuva Morcha warned that if the accused are not arrested, they will protest in front of Chhabra Police Station.
