The singer, born in Arequipa, surprised locals and strangers with his imitation of Kurt Cobain. From the casting, the jury saw the young guitarist as the winner.
Thanks to the support of his fans, he was able to reach the final, where he faced Ronald Hidalgo, the Peruvian Juan Gabriel. After a close battle, he was announced as the overall winner.

Ramiro Saavedra began his musical career in 2007 by founding the band Olaf, with which he paid tributes to rock exponents such as Pearl Jam, Oasis, REM, Bon Jovi, Guns N’ Roses and Nirvana.
After passing through “Yo soy”, he participated in an imitation contest held in Colombia. There, he became internationally known and even the Nirvana band recognized his talent.
Saavedra, with his Kurt Cobain character, has gained thousands of followers. He created a YouTube channel where he posted videos of his performances and on Instagram he has more than 11,000 followers.
