Sitapur. Congress MP from Sitapur Lok Sabha constituency of Uttar Pradesh, Rakesh Rathore, has been accused of rape by a woman. A case has been registered against the MP on the complaint of the woman. The woman has accused the MP of exploiting her for 4 years by promising her marriage and political career. The victim has also provided electronic evidence and call recording to the police.
At present, the police have registered a case on the basis of the complaint and started investigation. In this case, Superintendent of Police Chakresh Mishra told media persons on Saturday that a woman living in Kotwali Nagar area has presented evidence related to the case, accusing MP (Rakesh Rathore) of rape. On this basis, on Friday night, Kotwali police registered a case against MP Rathore under various sections and started investigation.

He told that the woman had lodged a complaint in the police station on January 15. In this she had told that MP Rakesh Rathore has been sexually exploiting her for the last four years on the pretext of marriage. He also assured him of helping him in his political career. Both belong to the same caste.
The victim also provided electronic evidence, call recording to the police. Also told that he is being threatened by the MP (Rakesh Rathore). In this case, the police have registered a case on the basis of the complaint of the victim woman. The victim was medically examined and her statement was also recorded in the court. The police has also provided security to the victim woman.
