What are the questions asked in RTI?
From January 1, 2018 to June 15, 2023, questions were asked regarding rape cases registered against Delhi Police personnel, their arrest, suspension, dismissal, criminal cases, departmental enquiry. However, not all police units responded. Citing the Right to Information Act, some units asked to come to the office within a stipulated time period and check the records in case the information is lengthy. At the same time, some even tried to avoid it by giving roundabout answers. Some units did not give information about the arrest of the accused policeman in the rape case. In this, citing the RTI Act, it was said that it is not necessary to give its information to the third party.
