PETA UK’s Twitter handle shared a video demanding an absolute ban on bullfights. It can be seen in the video that the bull participating in the bullfight was injured in the head and died on the spot while kicking its legs. Anchor Rashmi, who retweeted this tweet, asked, “How can people who enjoy such sports sleep at night?” A netizen responded to this.. “How people like you in the industry are using leather products. Ban the use of front leather. Everything will be automatically banned,” he commented.
Anchor Rashmi replied to the netizen’s comment. He clarified that he does not use leather products even though he is in the industry. “I am in the industry. But, I neither use nor buy leather products. So, please do not encourage the use or purchase of leather products in any field. In India, leather is mostly collected from cows. So, as a Hindu, I can never be a part of such heinous acts,” explained Rashmi.
Rashmi said that the use of leather should not be encouraged. Banning it is an impossible task. Rashmi once again replied to the same netizen’s tweet. It all depends on demand and supply. This is common. It’s better not to buy it than to ban it and make it more exclusive,” said Rashmi. He called not to use leather goods at all.
Meanwhile, Rashmi Gautam is acting as an anchor for the comedy show ‘Extra Jabardast’ on the one hand and acting in movies on the other hand. Last year, she acted as the heroine in the movie ‘Bomma Blockbuster’. Singer Geetha Madhuri’s husband Nandu is the hero of this movie. The film did not impress much. Currently Rashmi is playing a role in ‘Bhola Shankar’ directed by Mehr Ramesh starring Megastar Chiranjeevi.
