Desk. IndiGo flight 6E 6811, which was scheduled to take off for Lucknow, was canceled after a rat was found in the cabin at Dabolim International Airport in Goa. The incident occurred at 6:25 pm on Tuesday, when the flight was ready for takeoff.
As soon as the presence of rats was detected, all the passengers along with their luggage were thrown out of the plane. Due to the sudden cancellation of the flight, there was anger among the passengers, and they started creating ruckus at the airport. Passengers were assured of an alternative flight, but the inconvenience increased due to a wait of more than two hours.
IndiGo Airlines officials said that this decision was taken giving priority to the safety of passengers. The aircraft will be thoroughly inspected and will be brought back into service only after the rat problem is resolved. The incident occurred when the flight was ready to take off at 6:25 pm. After rats were found, all the passengers were immediately thrown out of the plane along with their luggage.
Some passengers alleged that they were informed about not loading their luggage in the flight and were later told that the flight was being delayed because of rats. Passengers have demanded an alternative flight. The airline has said that the inspection of the aircraft is ongoing keeping in mind the safety standards and appropriate solution will be given to the passengers soon.
