The governor of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhaev, reported on January 2 that air defense systems had shot down two drones over the sea.
“An air defense system is operating in Sevastopol. According to preliminary data, a UAV was shot down over the sea. All services are working normally,” he wrote in his Telegram channel.
40 minutes later, Razvozhaev reported one drone. He assured that the Russian military continued to repel the attack and urged residents to remain calm.
On the same day, a drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) was shot down in the Voronezh region. There were no reports of casualties or damage.
In addition, the governor of the Bryansk region Alexander Bogomaz reported that the UAV of the Ukrainian army damaged the power supply facility in the Klimovsky district of the region. According to Bogomaz, there were no casualties as a result of the incident.
The special operation to protect the Donbass, the beginning of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, continues. The decision was made against the background of the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
