“Ready to help the people of Turkey affected by the earthquake” – PM Modi

Bengaluru: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that Turkey is ready to help the people affected by the earthquake.

More than 500 people have died in a powerful earthquake that hit Turkey early this morning. Hundreds have been injured. Neighboring Syria was also affected by this earthquake.

In this context, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while inaugurating the ‘India Energy Week 2023’ program in Bengaluru in which the representatives of the G20 countries will participate, said, “It has been reported that many people have died in the earthquake in Turkey. Many are seriously injured. Many buildings were damaged. The earthquake also affected Turkey’s neighboring country. In this context, I express the sympathy of the 140 crore people of India who have been affected by the earthquake. India is ready to provide all possible assistance to the people affected by the earthquake,” he said.

India Energy Week 2023: He further said: I am delighted to inaugurate the ‘India Energy Week 2023’ with India assuming the G20 Presidency. Bangalore is a city brimming with the power of technology, talent and innovation. Like me, you can see the youthful energy here. This is India’s first major energy event under the G20 presidency. I welcome all of you who have come to participate.

The energy sector has a huge role to play in determining the future of the 21st century. India has been one of the strongest voices for the development of renewable fuels and energy transition. India, which is working towards becoming a developed country, has a lot of energy potential. The International Monetary Fund has published a report on the economic growth of the world countries for the year 2023. It states that India is the fastest growing economy among the world’s largest economies. It has also been reported that India is a shining economy amid the challenges of the Corona pandemic and the war in Ukraine.

Whatever the environment outside India is, India has the capacity to face whatever challenges they pose. Stable and decisive government, ongoing reforms and grassroots socio-economic developments are the reasons for this potential. He said this.

The ‘India Energy Week 2023’ program which started today will continue till the day after tomorrow. The changes and developments in the energy sector and the opportunities available to India in this sector will be discussed in detail. It is noteworthy that 30 ministers from G20 countries, more than 30 thousand foreign representatives, more than a thousand exhibition halls and more than 500 experts are participating in these programs.
