Rockstar Games has surprisingly and without prior notice published an update for the PlayStation version of Red Dead Redemption that adds a 60FPS mode.
Patch 1.03, now available on the PlayStation Store, introduces a frame-rate selector to the popular game, which allows you to choose 30FPS with a higher resolution or 60FPS with a lower dynamic resolution.
At the moment we can confirm that this option is available on PlayStation 5, but we are waiting to see if it appears on PlayStation 4 or not. The game, remember, is initially native to PlayStation 4 and does not have a specific version for the console Sony’s current generation.
The new versions for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch of Red Dead Redemption were published on August 17, including both the original game and its expansion, Undead Nightmare.
