Arkane Studios has published the promised patch for Redfall with the 60FPS mode on Xbox Series X/S.
This update, which is published five months after the launch of the exclusive Microsoft game, also introduces improvements in performance and stability on PC, stealth takedowns and a greater number of enemies.
The promise of 60FPS mode for the console version of Redfall was made in April, when Bethesda confirmed that at launch it would run at 1440p resolution and 30FPS on both Xbox Series “would arrive later, but did not give a specific date.
Although the high frame-rate option will be more than welcome, players will also appreciate the new takedown system that allows this movement to be performed stealthily (something whose absence was widely criticized at the time) and an increase in the number of enemies in the open world, improving immersion.
There are also slightly more subtle changes, such as tweaks to clothing and lighting to improve visibility at night and improvements to auto-aim.
This new patch, the second after the launch in May, comes at a delicate time for the Arkane game, in which the number of players on Steam has had peaks of just fifty-eight players in recent days and minimums of just four .
