A merchant was killed and two women were wounded, in Al-Bayda Governorate, central Yemen, by gunmen of the Houthi militia.
Identical local and media sources said that on Friday, members of the Houthi militia shot and killed a merchant in Radaa city, “Hajjaj al-Sibani”, after he refused to pay royalties under the name of zakat without any official bonds.
The sources said that the shooting of Al-Dhubayani coincided with the crowding of his store with customers, which resulted in the injury of two women.
The Houthi militia imposes large royalties on merchants in its areas of control under many names, in addition to zakat, which it has doubled by a large percentage.
