National voter Walid Regragui said on Saturday that donating blood is the least the Moroccan national football team can do for the earthquake victims.
In his statements to the official website of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, Regragui confirmed that all players encourage Moroccans to donate their blood because this matter is very important in the current circumstance.
The Lions coach added that the national elements think a lot about the injured and their families, and Moroccans will remain in solidarity at times.
The Royal Moroccan Football Federation announced earlier that the match that was to bring together the first Moroccan national football team and its Liberian counterpart, in the final round of qualifiers for the 2024 African Cup of Nations finals, “Côte d’Ivoire 2024”, has been postponed until a later time.
As of 10 p.m., the total number of deaths resulting from the earthquake reached 2,012 people, and the number of injured was 2,059, 1,404 of whom were in serious condition.
In this context, the number of deaths reached 1,293 in Al Haouz Province, 452 in Taroudant Province, 41 in Ouarzazate Province, and 15 in Marrakesh Prefecture.
While no new deaths were recorded in each of the prefectures and provinces of Chichaoua, Azilal, Agadir Idaoutnan, Greater Casablanca, Youssoufia and Tinghir.
The public authorities are continuing their efforts to rescue and evacuate the wounded, take care of the injured victims, and mobilize all necessary capabilities to address the effects of this painful tragedy.
