Union Minister Kiren Rijiju released the first book of IAS officer Sonal Goyal.
2008 batch IAS officer Sonal Goyal’s first book ‘Nation Calling: Holistic Approach to UPSC Civil Services Examination’ was released by Union Earth Sciences Minister Kiren Rijiju. This program took place at Constitution Club, New Delhi. Sonal Goyal is currently posted as Resident Commissioner in Tripura Bhawan.
Addressing the event, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju said, “The book Nation Calling is useful not only for UPSC aspirants but for every youth who wants to touch new heights while moving forward in their life. The insights shared in the book are valuable for all individuals with ambitious goals. Every aspiring youth must read this book.”

A large number of important people attended the book release program.
Vice Chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia Prof. Najma Akhtar said, “Sonal is an inspiration for millions of youth. His book ‘Nation Calling’ is an excellent and comprehensive guide that will help enable and empower readers and equip them with the knowledge, strategies and mindset required to succeed in the UPSC Civil Services Examination.”
In her written address, IAS officer Sonal Goyal shared some stories from her 15 year long journey as an administrative officer. He told how he decided to leave behind his established corporate career and join civil services after listening to his inner calling to serve the country. This is why he has named this book ‘Nation Calling’.
Dr. Hanif Qureshi, Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Heavy Industries, Sandeep Kumar, Chairman of Customs Central Excise and Service Tax Settlement Commission, Balesh Kumar, Member of the Appellate Tribunal under the Smugglers and Foreign Exchange Manipulators Act and many officials, academicians, journalists and civil servants were present in the program. Youth preparing for service examination participated.
