The Board of Directors of the Jeddah Airports Company dismissed, on Saturday evening, Rayan Al-Tarabzouni, CEO of Jeddah Airports Company, after an extraordinary meeting during which the challenges faced by King Abdulaziz International Airport during the past days and the necessary solutions were discussed.
He also assigned Ayman bin Abdulaziz Abu Ubadah to run the company.
This assignment came after a wave of sharp criticism faced by Jeddah airports, where the Minister of Transport and Logistics, Engineer Saleh Al-Jasser, directed the formation of an urgent investigation committee, headed by the President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation, and with the membership of a number of authorities to determine the reasons for the delay and irregularity of some flights of travelers and pilgrims in King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah during the past few days, investigating what happened, and identifying those responsible.
He also requested to take the necessary legal measures and technical treatments to maintain the quality of services provided to travelers and pilgrims, and to present the results and recommendations within a maximum period of one week from its date.
It is noteworthy that Ayman Abu Ababa has multiple experience spanning more than 28 years, during which he held many leadership positions, the most recent of which was the Executive Vice President of Operations at Riyadh Airports Company.
