New Delhi: Female pilot Disha Amrit will lead the Navy contingent in Delhi’s Republic Day parade. Republic Day is going to be celebrated on 26th across the country. On that day, a grand parade is going to be held on the Delhi duty line to show off the might of the army.
Female pilot Disha Amrit will lead the participating Navy team. 3 women in the Navy team and 5 new recruits in the Agni Path program will participate.
Hailing from Mangalore, Karnataka, Disha is currently serving in the Andaman Naval Unit. He said: “I wanted to participate in the Republic Day Parade when I was in the National Students Corps. That dream has now come true. I feel proud to lead the Navy team. Like the parade rehearsal in Delhi, we will conduct the team training on the 26th.
Disha is a software engineer. Studied at BMS College, Bengaluru, he joined the Navy in 2016 due to his patriotism. Currently, he is serving as a pilot of the Navy’s surveillance aircraft.
