Resentment: People protested for not arresting the accused in the woman’s death case, surrounded the CP office

The protesters gave an ultimatum to the police, if all the accused are not arrested in a week, they will protest in the entire city.

Hundreds of people, angry over non-arrest of the accused in a dowry death case, took out a procession and demonstrated in front of the police commissioner’s office. The people gave an ultimatum to the police saying that if all the accused are not arrested within a week, then there can be a traffic jam in the city. People also alleged negligence in arresting the accused.

Let us tell you that a week ago, a married woman named Sheetal died under suspicious circumstances in village Bhakhri. Chitrapal Singh, a resident of Mohammadpur village in Gurgaon, married his daughter Sheetal to Sonu, son of Dhanraj, a resident of Bhakri village, on 28 November 2019. Sheetal’s uncle Jogendra Singh alleges that two-three months after the marriage, the in-laws started harassing the daughter. While crores of rupees were spent in marriage. The family members of the victim allege that the in-laws killed their daughter for dowry. Dabua police station has registered a case against 11 in-laws including husband. The parents allege that the accused husband has a relationship with another woman. Due to opposition from his wife, he was killed. So far the police have arrested only the husband.

Allegations of negligence on the police

Hundreds of members of the victim’s family marched from Ankhir post to the police commissioner’s office and demonstrated. They allege that the Dabua police station is avoiding arresting the accused. After a week has passed, the police have been able to arrest only the husband. While other accused are roaming. The protesting people clearly said that if the accused are not arrested within a week, they will be forced to block the road. Police Public Relations Officer Sube Singh says that many police teams have been engaged. Soon the accused will be arrested.
