New Delhi. Delhi Chief Minister Atishi said on Saturday that around 10,000 Civil Defense Volunteers (CDVs) will return to work for four months from next week. He was removed from the post of bus marshal last year. They will be deployed to enforce measures to prevent pollution.
He (Atishi) said that the Delhi government has approved a proposal to this effect. He said that call out notices will be issued to CDVs from Monday and then they will start registration in the concerned District Magistrate office on Tuesday and Wednesday. Can do. He said in the press conference that within two-three days of registration, the CDVs will be deployed for tasks like managing pollution hotspots, preventing dust pollution and garbage burning.

Further, Chief Minister Atishi said that I assure the bus marshals that in the coming few days, I will send the proposal for permanent appointment of bus marshals to the LG. Till the time they do not get permanent appointment, bus marshals are being added to the campaign against pollution till the month of February. Call out notices of bus marshals will be issued from Monday.
Chief Minister Atishi further said that from Tuesday they can register themselves in the DM office. In 2018, Kejriwal’s government appointed marshals in DTC buses so that women are not molested and children and elderly people can also travel safely. But BJP conspired in April 2023 and stopped the salaries of 10 thousand bus marshals and then fired them from the job in October 2023.
