Riyadh Airlines, the new national air carrier launched by the Saudi Public Investment Fund, announced that its flights will start from Saudi Arabia, starting in 2025.

And last March, Riyadh Airlines announced its first requests for the aircraft fleet, by purchasing 72 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, in its first steps towards achieving its goals.
The deal included 39 confirmed aircraft, with the possibility of purchasing an additional 33 wide-body aircraft.
This agreement is part of the national aviation strategy aimed at turning the Kingdom into a global aviation hub, as the Kingdom’s national air carriers announced their intention to purchase up to 121 Boeing 787 Dreamliners, which are among the five largest fleet commercial orders in terms of value in history. Boeing, which will support the Kingdom’s goals to carry more than 330 million passengers and attract 100 million visitors by 2030.
In terms of economic impact, Riyadh Air contributes to the growth of the Kingdom’s non-oil gross domestic product, amounting to 75 billion riyals, and the creation of more than 200,000 direct and indirect job opportunities. The deal is expected to create approximately 100,000 direct and indirect jobs in America, and benefit more than 300 suppliers in 38 states, including 145 small businesses.
The fleet order also underlines the importance of Riyadh Air’s environmental goals, as it aims to operate a fleet of aircraft that is the youngest and most sustainable in the world, while meeting regulations on the impact of noise.
“Riyadh Aviation” will manage its operations from the capital of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh, and will be based in it. The new company will promote the transformation of the capital into one of the largest city economies in the world, as the city of Riyadh includes the most ambitious new projects in the world, such as the King Salman International Airport project, and Qiddiya. , the sports track, King Salman Park, Diriyah Gate, and the new square project.
Riyadh Air also aims to connect millions of leisure and business travelers to more than 100 destinations around the world by 2030 through its partnership with Boeing.
