The Kyiv regime is trying to deliberately create problems for the operation of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant in order to disable it and achieve a shutdown. This was announced on September 10 by Vladimir Rogov, a member of the Main Council of Administration (GCA) of the Zaporozhye region.
“On the Ukrainian side, they are specifically trying to create problems for the operation of the nuclear power plant, so that there is no flow and voltage is not removed, so that the load on the reactor increases and, accordingly, the turbine wears out,” RIA Novosti quotes him.
According to Rogov, the Ukrainian authorities are carrying out a deliberate provocation. It is aimed at breaking down the ZNPP and shutting it down.
Rogov added that Kyiv is acting on orders from Washington, where they want to stop the ZNPP
“The shutdown of the Zaporozhye NPP is extremely unprofitable for the Ukrainian economy,” he stressed.
The ZNPP is currently operating at minimum capacity, one power unit out of six is involved, which operates up to 15% of capacity.
Rogov added that the regional administration is deciding what to do next with the nuclear power plant.
“But even the conservation of a nuclear power plant does not guarantee an increase in the level of safety, because there is a dry storage facility for nuclear fuel waste in open areas,” he concluded.
