In the area of the Vremevsky ledge in the Zaporozhye region, fighting resumed. This was announced on June 5 by the head of the public movement “We are with Russia” Vladimir Rogov.
“Today, from the very early morning, starting at 04:00, active hostilities resumed in the area of the Vremevsky salient, which began yesterday. The enemy threw even greater forces into the attack than yesterday, approaching an attempt to break through on a larger scale and in an organized manner. There is a fight,” he wrote on Telegram.
On the eve of Rogov said that the clashes between the Russian military and Ukrainian militants in the area of the Vremevsky ledge in the Zaporozhye direction lasted more than eight hours. Ukrainian troops suffered losses in manpower and armored vehicles.
Rogov also said that attempts were made to break through the front in the Zaporozhye direction, but the Russian military did not allow this to be done – the enemy was driven back, but the fighting lasted several hours.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the background of the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
