Rosgar Mela: Today Only Half A Lakh People Became Government Employees; Recruitment Of 5.5 Lakh People In One Year

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken an important step to wake up the country’s workforce. As part of the ‘Rosgar Mela’ scheme of appointing candidates for government service, the appointment order was handed over to 51,000 people in a function held on Saturday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi distributed the appointment order of the candidates in a function attended through video conferencing.

Ceremonies related to Rosgar Mela project were organized today in 37 centers across the country. Apart from the various departments and ministries of the Central Government, the appointment has been made for government sector jobs in various States and Union Territories cooperating with the scheme.

The appointment order has now been handed over to more than half a lakh candidates who have been selected from different parts of the country. Currently, the appointment is mainly made in the ministries/departments like Ministry of Railways, Department of Posts, Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Revenue, Department of Higher Education, Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

At the same time, in a statement released by the authorities regarding the Rosgar Mela, it has been described as a humble step to fulfill the commitment of Prime Minister Modi, who gives priority to job creation in the country. The Rosgar Mela project was launched in October 2022 with an aim to provide employment to 10 lakh people in various departments under the central government within one and a half years. The project was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. As of March 1, 2021, there are 9.79 lakh vacancies in Group A, B and C categories in various services of the Central Government. At the same time, Union Minister BL Verma stated that the appointment orders have been handed over to 5.5 lakh people so far as part of Rosgar Mela.
