The land acquisition exercise for the construction of the northern part of the Regional Ring Road (RRR), headed by the Central Government, is in full swing. Government sources said the recruitment exercise for the teams would be completed by the end of this month. The Center will issue a notification for land acquisition once this process is completed. The land will then be marked and the acquisition process will be carried out with the issuance of notices to the landowners. About 344 km of regional ring road will be constructed connecting the surrounding districts to the headwaters of the Outer Ring Road to the Hyderabad metropolis. The Union Ministry of Transport and National Highways has decided to build it in two parts. While the central and state governments will bear half of the cost of land acquisition, the entire cost of road construction will be borne by the center.
