The Investigation Committee of Russia (CIR) has confirmed that the body of the leader of the Wagner mercenary company, Yevgeny Prigozhin, has been identified. Likewise, another nine deaths have been identified after the accident last Wednesday. According to the CIR, the identity of the plane’s occupants was confirmed by comparative DNA analysis.
The head of the Wagner Group, Yevgueni Prigozhin, was traveling from Saint Petersburg to the Russian capital when the plane he was traveling in crashed in Tver, less than 200 kilometers from Moscow.
Prigozhin, 62, starred two months ago in a failed military rebellion against the Kremlin in which he came to take one of the most important cities in southern Russia, Rostov-on-Don.
