“Tonight the Russian Aerospace Force launched a massive drone strike against fuel warehouses in the Reni port of the Odesa region, used to supply the war equipment of the Ukrainian Army,” Russian military department spokesman Igor Konashenkov said. in the daily war report.
According to the Defense representative, “all targets were destroyed.”
This is the third Russian attack against this port infrastructure on the Danube, together with Romania, since Russia abandoned the Black Sea initiative for the export of Ukrainian grain on July 17.
25 Shahed kamikaze drones
The Ukrainian Air Force announced this Sunday that at dawn the Russian Army launched 25 Iranian-made Shahed kamikaze drones against the Odessa region, 22 of which were destroyed.
A spokesman for the Odessa military administration, Serhí Bratchuk, noted that one of the attacks caused damage to a port infrastructure, where it caused a fire that firefighters managed to quickly extinguish.
“According to preliminary information there are two civilians injured,” he added on his Telegram channel.
The region’s governor, Oleg Kíper, confirmed the attacks, noting that “Russian terrorists attacked civilian infrastructure in the south of Odessa for three and a half hours.”
