Distinguished servicemen were awarded the Order of Courage, medals “For Courage” and medals of Suvorov.
It is noted that during the award ceremony, Teplinskiy thanked the Russian paratroopers for the heroism they showed during the special operation.
Earlier, on January 4, Mikhail Teplinskiy presented awards to servicemen of the Russian army who distinguished themselves while performing combat missions in the NVO zone.
The colonel-general emphasized that each of the awards presented speaks of the results of their work. And this insignia, in his opinion, fighters should proudly wear all their lives.
On December 31, Russian President Vladimir Putin visited the headquarters of the Southern Military District (SMD) in Rostov-on-Don and talked with the leadership. The head of state also presented the Order of St. George III degree to the commander of the group of Russian troops in the NVO zone, General of the Army Sergei Surovikin.
The special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass, the beginning of which the Russian leader announced on February 24, continues. The decision to start it was made against the background of the aggravated situation in the region due to shelling by Ukrainian troops.
