Moscow. A senior Russian general, the head of the force protecting Russia’s nuclear weapons, was assassinated in Moscow on Tuesday. Russia’s Investigative Committee said he was killed by a bomb hidden in an electric scooter in Moscow on Tuesday. Ukraine’s intelligence service SBU has reported that a day earlier Ukrainian prosecutors had accused General Kirillov (Igor Kirillov) of being responsible for the large-scale use of banned chemical weapons inside Ukraine. Russia had rejected these allegations. The Russian general has been murdered at a time when the Russian army is embroiled in a war with Ukraine.
