Mumbai: Sachin Tendulkar’s full-length statue unveiled at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium today.
Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar retired from international cricket in November 2013 with the Test match against West Indies at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. In this case, last April, Sachin celebrated his 50th birthday.
Meanwhile, the Maharashtra Cricket Association had announced that a full-length statue of Sachin Tendulkar would be erected at the Wankhede Stadium in his honour. Now all the works for this have been completed. Tomorrow (2nd) India-Sri Lanka teams will face each other in the league match of World Cup cricket series at this stadium. On this occasion Sachin’s statue will be unveiled today. The statue is installed near Sachin Tendulkar’s gallery.
The statue of Sachin Tendulkar in the shape of a swinging bat was created by Sculp Pramod Kamble from Ahmednagar, Maharashtra.
