Ayodhya: Construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh is in full swing. 2 sacred stones known as Saligrams are brought from Janakpur in Nepal, the birthplace of Sita, to make the idols of Rama and Janaki placed here. Among these, one stone weighs 18 tons and another stone weighs 16 tons.
These saligram stones are abundant on the banks of the Kali Gandaki river in Janakpur, Nepal. From here, the Janaki temple administration has sent 2 sacred stones to Ayodhya. The Nepalese delegation officially handed over the stones yesterday. Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Shetra Foundation Trustees performed a special pooja to the holy stones in Ayodhya yesterday. A large number of local people participated in it.
