Paris Saint-Germain coach Christophe Galtier described the red card that defender Ashraf Hakimi received in the face of Lorient as stupid, indicating that he wanted his team to be more ambitious.
And the French League title holder lost to Lorient 1-3, on Sunday, in the French Football League championship, and completed the match with ten players after the first 20 minutes had passed, after Hakimi got the second yellow card.
Paris still leads the French League standings by eight points, although its rival Marseille can reduce the difference to five points if it beats Auxerre on Sunday.
Speaking of the red card that Hakimi received after rough tackles on Roman Pfeiffer and Darlene Yongwa, Galtier expressed his frustration with the performance of his player and the team in general.
Galtier said: There is no reason for Ashraf to be so tense and nervous. The second card is very stupid. There was nothing to indicate that that week would be tense for us.
He added: It is a great disappointment and we must show a quick reaction because we do not know how many points we will get. The second half of the season was very disappointing for us.
He explained: The Troyes match is coming, we have topped the standings since the beginning of the tournament, but we have to finish it with victories, we must have the ambition to do more.
