Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah and Manchester City playmaker Kevin De Bruyne were selected on Friday among eight nominees for the Premier League Player of the Season award.
Salah is the top scorer in the Premier League this season, with 22 goals and 13 assists. De Bruyne comes fourth in the list of top scorers with 15 goals, and the Belgian international also made seven goals.
Salah and De Bruyne had previously won the award in the 2017-2018 and 2019-2020 seasons, respectively.
Other nominees include Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold, City’s Joao Cancelo, West Ham United’s Jarrod Bowen, Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka, Tottenham’s Son Heung-min and Southampton’s James Ward-Prowse.
City defender Ruben Diaz won the award last season.
