Brazilian media reported that Al Jazira Club submitted an official offer to Partizan Belgrade Club to sign player Matheus Saldanha during the current transfer period.
UOL newspaper said that Al Jazira club expressed its readiness to pay six million euros, in addition to an additional one million euros in incentives, in exchange for acquiring the services of the Brazilian player, who will receive an annual salary of two million euros.
She explained: “Partizan rejected Al Jazeera’s offer, and expressed its insistence on obtaining at least 10 million euros in exchange for completing the deal.”
She pointed out that “Saldanha shone remarkably with his Serbian club last season, participating in 33 matches and scoring 23 goals.”
She confirmed that the 24-year-old player is attracting the attention of many European clubs, most notably AEK Athens of Greece.
Matheus Saldanha has had previous experiences in Asia, moving from Brazilian club Bahia to Japanese club JEF United in 2021, and also playing for Chinese club Runxing from August to December 2022.
The Brazilian player joined Azerbaijani club Neftchi Baku on loan in January 2023 until July of the same year, before moving permanently to Serbian club Partizan for 1.5 million euros, which was received by Japanese club JEF United.
Matheus Saldanha’s brilliance with Partizan contributed to his market value increasing by a record three times, reaching five million euros in December 2023, then six million last March, before rising to eight million on June 10.
