Tollywood star Samantha played the title role in the movie ‘Shaakuntalam’. The trailer released from this mythological movie, directed by senior director Gunasekhar, has impressed the audience tremendously. The visuals and story content attracted huge hype on the film. While this movie is going to be released on February 17, the makers have recently released the lyrical video. Samantha is seen pregnant. While it is known that this song was shot to suit the situation of having no one around at that time.. the visuals are grander.

As for the story of ‘Sakunthalam’, Samantha played the title role as Menaka and Vishwamitru’s daughter Shakunthalam. Produced by Neelima Guna under the banner of Guna Team Works and directed by Guna Shekhar, the film will release on February 17 in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada languages.

Samantha was last seen in the Telugu film ‘Yashoda’. The film was a success at the box office and within 10 days of its worldwide release, it collected around Rs. 33 crores collected. Samantha went to Mumbai for the filming of the web series ‘Citadel’ which is currently being produced by Prime Video. She will be sharing the screen with Bollywood star hero Varun Dhawan in the show series being directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK. Earlier, it is known that Samantha acted in the web series ‘Family Man’ produced by Raj and DK.

Meanwhile, in Telugu, Samantha is acting in the romantic drama ‘Khushi’ with Vijay Deverakonda. The shooting of this film directed by Siva Nirvana was interrupted due to Sam’s illness. She tweeted on Wednesday that she will soon resume the shooting of Khushi’s film as she has recovered.
