Pedro Sánchez intends to call Alberto Núñez Feijóo before the end of the year to invite him to La Moncloa and address the renewal of the Judiciary, the reform of article 49 of the Constitution and start talking about financing. This is what the President of the Government announced this Wednesday, in an informal group with journalists after the event for the anniversary of the Magna Carta in Congress.
Regarding the CGPJ, Sánchez has insisted on the need to “put aside excuses and go to the facts” to end a situation that he calls “irresponsible and absurd”, but he has warned that will not accept conditions being setafter Feijóo advocated for renew the Council and change the election system of the vowels simultaneously.
He PP cannot impose its position when he does not have a majority in Congress, Sánchez has warned, who has also once again asserted that the “kidnapping” of the governing body of the judges constitutes a case of ‘lawfare’.
For their part, PP sources have told laSexta that, If Sánchez calls him, Feijóo will go to Moncloa, but he would like not to have to find out the agenda from the media. The ‘popular’, however, insist on renewing the CGPJ and at the same time carrying out the legal reform on the election of its members.
